Ambigara Chowdayya Vachana Collection Complete Vachanas of Nijasaran Ambigara Chowdayya Nijasaran Ambigar Choudaiya lived in 12th century Shivasaran and Vachankara. He was born in 1160 AD in Ranebennur taluk of Haveri district in Chaudadanapura. Ambigar Choudaiahs original name was Chaudesha. His mothers name is Pampadevi and fathers name is Virupaksha. He has a different and unique personality from all the other speakers. Ambiga by profession, intuitive by instinct. He was busy ferrying people from one bank to the other in his boat on the banks of the Tungabha river in Chaudadanpur during the reign of the Guttalar kings. It is seen that the vachanas were written with direct fearless words. Ambigar Choudaiya was a 12th century follower of Basavanna. Along with Guru Basavanna, Ambigara Choudaiya, along with Guru Basavanna, destroyed all the superstitions about religion and Gods that existed in the masses for thousands of years and brought the pro-idea arguments and realistic aspects to the attention of the people.
